Pinot Noir Kim Crawford 2023
£24.00
During our 2014 tours to New Zealand, we enjoyed a wonderful journey around the Kim Crawford vineyards in Marlborough. This wine is made from grapes sourced from the Marlborough and Central Otago regions of the South Island, and is a great example of cooler climate Kiwi Pinot Noir: red berry fruits, some ripe blackberry dark cherry notes, savoury undertones and spicy oak. The palate displays ripe blackberry and cherry, filled out with subtle sweet spice from spending nine months in oak barrels.
I love this wine with roast guineafowl or quail, or indeed any game. It has the flavour and cut through to be a match for Epoisses.
