I am an independent wine merchant and educator based in South West London.

I run local Wine Societies in Richmond and Teddington.  We met monthly throughout 2022, and our programme of events for 2023 is displayed below.

My ever popular ‘Cheese Course’ will run again in the spring.  Do get in touch for more details.

I run private events and tastings for local groups; and I have a corporate events business called Taste of the Grape.

Every year I take groups of people to destinations all over the world on Wine Holidays.  My programme of tours for this year is virtually fully booked, but there are a few spaces available – see my tours website for more information.

I won the 2019 Wanderlust World Guide Awards Specialist Tour Guide of the Year.

Commended for my infectious passion, and being the perfect link between winemakers and travellers, I was given the award at the National Geographical Society.  The judges based their decision on the feedback from the dozens of clients who have been on tour with me.

Teddington Wine Society - Christmas Extravaganza @ St Mary's Parish Hall
Our Christmas Extravaganza is always an unmissable event in the TWS calendar. We take the opportunity to splash out on some top notch wines and explore some superb wines.
There is always something a bit unusual, eclectic, rare or expensive. Sometimes all four!

Tim Syrad, who has 25 years experience of running wine tastings, runs Richmond and Teddington Wine Societies, which meet monthly.  Tim is a fervent advocate that wine is to be enjoyed without snobbery. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced taster, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy.
