This Malbec is intensely in colour, has deep red berry aromas with a nip of spice and chocolate, and elegant spicy red fruit on the palate, rounded off with soft tannins and an enduring finish.
Stunning with barbecued lamb or pulled pork, a spicy melanzane, and hard cheeses like Manchego and Pecorino.
Blend includes 15% Tannat, 5% Petit Verdot. Produced in the renowned Cafayate Valley in the Salta region of northern Argentina – the highest vineyard region in the world. Amalaya translates as ‘hope for a miracle’ in the indigenous language of the now extinct tribe, the Calchaquí.
