Made from a blend of the grape varieties that go into Port (Tinta Roriz (ie Tempranillo), Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, this wine is rich ruby red in colour, with strawberry and cherry aromas, and hints of cedar and tobacco. Smooth and well balanced on the palate, with plenty of fresh spicy fruit.
Ideal with any hard ewe’s milk cheese like Manchego, and perfect for barbecues.
Casa Ferreirinha, owned by Sogrape, pays tribute to legendary Porto matriarch Dona Antónia Ferreira, affectionately nicknamed ‘Ferreirinha’, the first producer in the region dedicated to making light wines.
