Casa Ferreirinha, owned by Sogrape, pays tribute to legendary Porto matriarch Dona Antónia Ferreira, affectionately nicknamed ‘Ferreirinha’, the first producer in the region dedicated to making light wines.
Made from a blend of the grape varieties Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz (ie Tempranillo), this wine is deep ruby in colour. On the nose, this wine showcases intense and complex aromas of blackberry, red cherry and plum alongside floral nuances and savoury notes of balsamic, cedar, tobacco box and spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, with firm tannins, a balanced acidity and a long, elegant finish.
