Touraine Chenonceaux La Voûte 2022
£17.50
La Voûte is made by Thierry Delaunay and comes from a relatively new appellation called Touraine Chenonceaux. The wines are from selected parcels of vines on clay-flint soils and prehistoric sandy and calcareous soils located in Touraine.
Pale lemon in colour with intense aromas of tropical fruits, grapefruit and white flowers. On the palate, it is fresh and clean, with a fine mineral character and persistent finish.
Garlic prawns are a fabulous match…as is herby chicken and asparagus. My cheese of choice is Crottin de Chavignol – a goat’s cheese from the Loire.
