Torrontes Riesling Amalaya 2022

This is one of my most popular wines – the Torrontes grape variety has made Argentina its home, and produces aromatic, structured wines that are delicious and go wonderfully with food. Pale yellow in colour with intense aromas of white flowers, lemon and lime, and a touch of minerality, it has crisp acidity and a long finish.
Try it with pan fried sea bream fillets, or (better still, and) a Cremet – a combination of cow’s and goat’s milk with a mild flavour.
Produced in the renowned Cafayate Valley in the Salta region of northern Argentina – the highest vineyard region in the world. Amalaya translates as “hope for a miracle” in the indigenous language of the now extinct tribe, the Calchaqu.
