Montes was established in 1988 by Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, with the aim of producing the best wines in Chile from the best regions. The Colchagua Valley benefits from moderating ocean breezes, keeping the fresh acidity in the grapes as they ripen.
Deep ruby red in colour, with over blackberry and blackcurrant aromas. Oodles of fruit on the palate, with crisp acidity and soft tannins making for a very pleasurable experience.
Super with a roasted fillet of pork, and a Montgomery cheddar.
