With rich aromas and flavours of baked apple pie, lemon marmalade and vanilla and nutmeg, the vibrant acidity makes this big wine feel medium-bodied and it has a beautiful finish.
Burgundian estate Jean-Claude Boisset purchased De Loach in 2003 and brought the focus back to the estate’s original high-quality winemaking philosophy, with specific emphasis on small lot winemaking. The winery’s 17-acre estate vineyard has been completely restored and converted to organic and biodynamic viticulture.
We enjoyed this recently with an artichoke tarte tatin, it will complement any big flavours – perfect for smoked salmon, creamy chicken dishes. The perfect cheese is Soumaintrain.
