Montes was established in 1988 by Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, with the aim of producing the best wines in Chile from the best regions. This is one of their top wines from the Colchagua Valley, grown in sustainably managed vineyards in the Apalta and Marchigüe estates.
Deep ruby red in colour, with complex aromas of cherries, strawberries, smoke, black pepper and toasty notes from tim spent in oak. On the palate rounded tannins lead on to a beautiful finish.
Super with steak, Sunday roast and a flavoursome cheddar like Keen’s.
