Aldo Vaira’s wines are characterised by pristine flavours and clearly defined perfumes. These characters are attributable to the position of his vineyards at about 400 metres above sea level in the village of Vergne in the commune of Barolo.
This wine has a complex bouquet with aromas of red fruits and plums with hints rose petals, sweet red fruits and a hint of black figs. ‘Le Albe’ is full of sophisticated and delicate flavours supported by ripe tannins and an elegant acidity.
The big flavours of game, grilled or roast meat and stews are an ideal compliment to this wine, as are hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino.
