Wine Tours and Wine Holidays
Whether you’re looking for a trip of a lifetime, or a relaxing long weekend, Tim Syrad Wine Tours has something to offer you.
Since 2001 I have organised over 100 wine tours and wine holidays all over the world. My tours are a perfect complement to any longer holiday, or an opportunity for a well-deserved break. All that’s required is an interest in wine, and a desire to meet the people who create it.
I host every tour myself and ensure that the places we visit truly reflect the character, history – and future – of their region. I make sure that we meet the people who grown the vines, make the wine and own the vineyards that we visit. We do visit famous names, but also smaller wineries, that may not be so well known but produce fabulous wine, and are owned and run by people who have a truly fascinating story to tell.

“Touring Bordeaux during the harvest added a huge extra dimension to this holiday which was easily the best yet. It was such a privilege to not only visit and drink d’Yquem but even to taste the grapes at various stages of Botrytis, and the dry white Ygrec was an absolute revelation. I can’t recall drinking a wine that has stopped me in my tracks like that for about 25 years! As usual, it was very clear that you had put a lot of effort into selecting a range of visits which encompassed not only a wide range of terroirs, wines, characters and business models but also a great variety of experiences. The excellent food too was, of course, another great highlight of the holiday and your selection of locations for our meals unerringly added a sense of place as well as fabulous cuisine.”

“Tim Syrad’s Wine Tours are on the major highlights of my year. Tim is skilled at putting together a well-balanced and fascinating tour. We visit many vineyards that you would never find on your own.
– Olivia Freeman, Chiswick
“Thank you for making us so welcome on our inaugural Tim Syrad wine tour.It was a bit of leap into the unknown for us as we had never been to Slovenia, never knowingly drunk Slovenian wine, and never been on a wine –tasting holiday. It turned out to be just the job, with so much variety in terms of wines, locations and styles of food.“
– John and Mal, Somerset
Each tour brings its own range of wonderful memories. For instance, what could be nicer than being served delicious wines made from the vines which surround you using an oak barrel as a table, with magnificent views of the Pyrenees. Or discussing the 1961 vintage of Barolo, in the village of the same name, with the man who had picked the grapes and then tasting that wine.”
– Mick and Helen Moore, Blewbury
