Tasting events and more for wine lovers in Surbiton
Surbiton Wine Society
Surbiton Wine Society offers informal, friendly and informative wine tastings.
Unfortunately our launch event has been postponed due to COVID-19.
This website will be kept updated regarding any changes to the timing of our events and anyone who has signed up to attend, or to receive updates about Surbiton Wine Society will be kept informed.
We hope our very first event will take place in the coming months, in the downstairs bar of Glenmore House, The Crescent. Our subject will be “A Whistlestop Tour Round the Wonderful World of Wine”, it will be a great introduction to our informal, enjoyable approach to wine appreciation, and kick off our regular events exploring different aspects of wine – countries, regions, grape varieties and more!
We will commence with a welcome glass of wine, and over the course of the evening we will explore at least eight wines, including contrasting sparkling wines, reds and whites, and wines from the Old World (ie Europe) and New World. At least one of the wines we taste will retail for more than £50/bottle!
Absolutely no wine expertise is required, and whether you are a complete novice or an experienced taster, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy. If you are interested in attending, sign up to receive our regular email updates.
We look forward to meeting you at a tasting soon.
