Pinot Noir Ata Rangi 2018
£55.00
In stock
This is a very classy Pinot Noir from one of New Zealand’s top estates.
The nose is rich and spicy, with rose petal and dark cherry fruit. On the palate it is rich and intense with structured red fruits, fine tannins and an elegant finish.
Perfect with pan-fried duck breast, and I’d finish it off with some Puzzone di Moena.
We visited the Ata Rangi estate in Martinborough during our 2014 tours to New Zealand, and met owners Clive and Phyll Paton, who are Martinborough pioneers. Despite their exalted status (Clive is an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit) they were wonderfully down to earth and entertaining.
Also available in half bottle.
