Pinot Gris Skilly Valley Kilikanoon 2017
The cool climate Skilly Valley provides the fruit, and a small parcel was fermented separately, with the fermentation being arrested before all the sugar had been turned to alcohol.?? This makes the wine just off dry.?? It is pale straw in colour, with pear and apple aromas, slightly spiced with cinamon.?? On the palate it is crisply rounded combining fresh apples and pears with quince and cloves, its oily texture adds to its richness.?? It would go brilliantly with Thai food, and a Stinking Bishop cheese.
