10% Muscadelle in the blend creates a powerful fruity bouquet, but the Semillon’s lovely acidity cuts balances the sweetness to create a wonderful mouthfeel and flavour.
Definitely a pudding wine, it would complement just about anything from a fruit driven pear tatin to an unctuous crème brulée. The sweetness and acidity also go brilliantly with very rich savoury foods such as Foie Gras, or Roqeufort cheese.
