Pouilly-Fuissé `Clos Marie` Domaine La Soufrandise 2021
£27.00
The Melin family have owned Domaine la Soufrandise, which is located in the heart of Fuissé, since the 1850s. The Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Clos Marie’ is a walled single vineyard. The Chardonnay vines are 31-53 years old, producing beautifully concentrated fruit.
The nose opens with concentrated aromas of tropical fruits and white flowers, with more subtle nuances of honeysuckle. The palate is fresh with crisp acidity and flavours of green apple.
Seafood and poultry will pair well with this wine, with sauteed prawns a particular favourite right now. A goats cheese such as Brunet will work beautifully.
