Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz blend Cricket Pitch, Brokenwood, Hunter Valley, NSW 2019
£18.50
Established in 1970, Brokenwood was founded by a trio of Sydney-based solicitors, Tony Albert, John Beeston and James Halliday. The original site was destined to be a cricket ground for the local community but was instead planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
Dark fruit and cedar notes on the nose. A style all about fruit, the Christmas cake flavours along with the ripe tannins adds great length and persistence to the finish.
Pairs well with rich seafood, pasta and light meat dishes.
