Part 1 of my 2018 Cheese Course at which we will explore the world of cheese and wine, tasting 32 cheeses and 32 wines over 4 evenings.
My objective is to broaden people’s cheese horizons – tasting cheese that is in prime condition, and pairing them with the most appropriate wines.
I will provide wines to complement each cheese and we take a journey of discovery that encompasses a huge range of style and taste. Whites, reds, sparkling wines, sweeties and fortified will all feature and I can guarantee that you will taste an eclectically diverse set of cheeses. Cow, Goat and Ewe’s milk cheeses will all feature.
The evenings are very relaxed, informal and no knowledge is required – only a desire to satisfy your hunger and thirst…..I’m confident you will not need to eat dinner after the tasting!
Burgundy needs no introduction for its wines.
We will taste a great selection regional, village and Premier Cru wines with cheeses such as Ami du Chambertin, Charolais, Abbaye de Citeaux and of course favourites such as Soumaintrain, Epoisses and the legendary Delice de Bourgogne.
