It’s getting chilly outside (or maybe just wet) and Christmas is approaching. What better reason to snuggle down with some flavoursome, warming wines and explore that there is more to them than just an alcohol kick at the start or end of the meal. We will take a different approach to our catering this month and explore some typical and alternative food pairings with the classics of fortified: sherry, madeira and port.

Tim Syrad, who has 25 years experience of running wine tastings, runs Richmond and Teddington Wine Societies, which meet monthly. Tim is a fervent advocate that wine is to be enjoyed without snobbery. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced taster, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy.
