Our focus in March is on the hallowed and famous vineyards of Burgundy but with a twist as we seek out some great value wines from lesser known villages, which we will contrast with some of the better known big names.
Burgundy has a reputation for exorbitant prices but I feel with a bit of research and effort we can uncover some hidden gems that will restore our faith in this famous region.
As ever a top class night of high quality wines awaits.
Tim Syrad, who has 25 years experience of running wine tastings, runs Richmond Wine Society, which meets (generally) on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of the month at the Britannia Pub, Brewer’s Lane, Richmond. Tim is a fervent advocate that wine is to be enjoyed without snobbery. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced taster, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy. Tim also runs the monthly Teddington Wine Society and hosts fine wine tastings and dinners in local restaurants.
