Richmond Wine Society - Modern Germany @ The Britannia Pub

Germany is a long established wine growing region that suffers from the collective consciousness of Blue Nun, Liebraumilch and massively complicated wine labels.

We will prove to ourselves that Germany has the climate, soil and grapes to produce some of the best wine possible.  Dry whites, rich reds and of course something a big sweet will all feature.

Tim Syrad, who has 25 years experience of running wine tastings, runs Richmond Wine Society, which meets (generally) on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of the month at the Britannia Pub, Brewer’s Lane, Richmond.  Tim is a fervent advocate that wine is to be enjoyed without snobbery. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced taster, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy.  Tim also runs the monthly Teddington Wine Society and hosts fine wine tastings and dinners in local restaurants.
