South Africa straddles the old and the new worlds – wine has been made here since 1650, and in the eighteenth century the sweet wines of Constantia were famed in Europe before first growth clarets and Premier Cru Burgundies had emerged.
We will explore the combination of tradition and innovation that makes South African wines some of the most exciting and interesting in the world.
A particular focus of this event will be the cooler climate zones of Walker Bay and Hermanus together with a fresh look at some of the vibrant new developments in Pinotage and tasting some of the most distinctive and exciting wines currently available.
